During the keynote, you watched someone move from charge to clarity in real time. This is the same work. Applied to the relationships shaping your practice.

Why This Work Exists

Most problems in legal practice are not legal first. They are perceptual.

You do not lose composure because the stakes are high. You lose it because specific people distort how you see, interpret, and respond. This work exists to address that distortion.

The Problem This Solves

Specific people are costing you composure.

Not in theory. In depositions. In negotiations. In how much authority you can actually access when the room turns hostile.

Opposing Counsel

Their provocation is deliberate — and it works. You leave the deposition still arguing with them in your head, and your strategy narrows to a reaction.

The Client

They ignore your counsel, then hold you responsible for the outcome. Resentment creeps into the file, and your judgment stops being clean.

The Senior Partner

Their scrutiny changes your posture. You over-prepare, second-guess, and start performing competence instead of exercising it.

The Judge

One hard ruling years ago and you still brace in their courtroom. That bracing reads as hesitation — and clients and juries can feel it.

The Associate

Their resistance pulls you toward micromanagement, avoidance, or frustration. Delegation becomes distorted by charge, and the work suffers for it.

The Board President

Every meeting becomes a firing squad. Their hostility triggers your defensiveness before the agenda even starts — and the whole room reads it.

What the Advisory Delivers

Structured work. Person by person.

Sequential Facilitation

Each session applies the Demartini Method to a different charged relationship in your practice. One session for opposing counsel. One for the client who won't take counsel. One for the partner whose presence changes your posture the moment they enter the room.

This is not generic professional development. It is precision work applied to the relationships where emotional charge is quietly distorting judgment, advocacy, and authority.

You do not learn coping strategies. You work directly on the perception itself.

The Shift Inside Each Session

  • Identify the specific person and the trait carrying emotional charge
  • Examine where that same trait appears in your own form
  • Work through projection using reflective awareness
  • Balance perception by seeing both sides clearly
  • Address the charge at its source
  • Return to the relationship with greater composure and accuracy

Perceptual Balance

Each session works to restore a more balanced, accurate view of the person across the table.

Projection Revealed

The traits that carry the strongest charge are rarely only about them. The method makes that visible.

Authority Returned

As the charge diminishes, so does the invisible loss of power it can create in the relationship.

What this is — and is not. The Demartini Method is a structured perceptual-reframing facilitation: a systematic sequence of written and guided questions designed to bring balance to how you perceive a specific person. It is educational and developmental in nature. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for any medical, psychological, or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed mental health professional. If you are dealing with a mental health condition, please work with a qualified provider.

What the work delivers.

Three perspectives from people who have done the work directly. A client. A peer. A leadership professional in the field.

Relationship Charge
A relationship with a specific person was causing me significant heartache. A single session with Sam brought me to a place of balance and peace — both with the person and with the situation. Many weeks later, those feelings have endured. The progress is leaps and bounds beyond what therapy or coaching could do. Sam’s work is transformative.

Professional Peer
I went in unsure exactly what was causing the issue. By the end of the session, I felt calm, clear, and had a much better understanding of what had been going on and what to do next. Sam helped me cut through the noise to see my perceptions clearly and reach a place of energetic freedom.

Common Questions

What to expect.

How is this different from executive coaching?

Executive coaching usually develops skills, habits, or strategy. This work addresses the emotional charge distorting how you perceive specific people. You are not learning techniques to manage difficult relationships — you are working on how those relationships are held in perception.

Is this therapy or mental health treatment?

No. The Demartini Method is a structured, educational facilitation process, not psychotherapy or counseling. It does not diagnose or treat any medical, psychological, or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed mental health professional. If you are dealing with a mental health condition, please work with a qualified provider — this work can sit alongside that care, not replace it.

What if I need more than 8 or 16 sessions?

Most attorneys find that 8–16 facilitations address the relationships carrying the most charge. Where the ecosystem is broader, the Strategic engagement extends the work across a full year. The aim is not ongoing dependency — it is focused work, scoped to your reality.

How quickly will I see results?

Many clients report a noticeable shift in how they hold the relationship during or shortly after a session. Individual experiences vary, and no specific result or timeframe is guaranteed. The practical test is how the relationship feels the next time you walk into that courtroom, deposition, or partner meeting.

What happens during a session?

Each session is a structured facilitation. You identify the person and the trait carrying charge, and I guide you through a precise sequence of questions designed to reveal where that same trait appears in your own form and to bring your perception of that person into balance.

How is confidentiality handled?

Sessions are private, and your information is kept confidential under the terms of our written engagement agreement. To be clear for a legal audience: this is not a legally privileged relationship. Communications with a facilitator are not protected by attorney–client, therapist–patient, or any similar privilege, and are not shielded from subpoena or discovery. For that reason, the work is deliberately structured so you never need to share case specifics, privileged material, or client identities — the method operates on your perception of the person, not the facts of the matter.

Is this appropriate for firms or practice groups?

This advisory is designed for individual attorneys and legal professionals. Firm-wide, practice group, or bar association applications require a different engagement structure. Reach out if you want to discuss that separately.

Do I need to have attended one of your keynotes?

No. Many advisory clients first encountered the work during a keynote, but the engagement is open to any attorney or legal professional dealing with charge toward specific people.
